About Sandi Anders, MDiv, RYT, CSC

Sandi Anders, MDiv, RYT, CSCSandi has a multi-faceted career. She is a body-mind psychotherapist, yoga and meditation teacher, stress management specialist, musician and sexuality counselor. Each of these skills expresses her passion for life and her joy in creative work.

One constant across her varied activities is that she uses her unique voice - to teach, communicate, sing, and lead people to deeply relax. Her students have said that Sandi possesses a "soothing, melodious" voice, that she is a "sensitive, caring listener," that her guided meditation for relaxation is the "best ever experienced!" To be in her presence as student, client, or friend is to have an experience of "intensive care."

Sandi comes from a musical family, with music an integral part of her young years - piano lessons, singing with her family, children's church choir, and chorus in high school. She studied music in college and has performed opera and musical theater professionally, written songs in Nashville, and performed as a solo artist.

"I feel deep joy when I am expressing myself through music," Sandi says. "I love the exchange of energy with my audience. It is delightful to witness the power of healing through sound and music. Producing these guided meditations was for me a process of being 'in the flow,' finding the magical combination of words and music to encourage relaxation, meditation and healing; and just the right visualizations that uplift and enrich the spirit."

Another guiding passion in Sandi's life has been the experience of stillness in movement through yoga. "Yoga has helped me to understand and integrate all of the aspects of myself - mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional. I've experienced firsthand how working in the stillness of body and breath can have profound and transformative effects."

In her private work with individuals and groups, she uses movement, breath work, mindfulness meditation, guided imagery and music to create a healing environment. Her work encourages people to encounter and embrace their deepest self, to heal old wounds and learn self-nurture and self-care. She facilitates the connection of body, mind, heart and spirit into an integrated whole, grounding emotion, thought and action within the body.

"I know something about honoring healing moments in my life and about moving with sureness and grace toward the light. I have a deep place in my heart for the prompting of Spirit and I believe in the Universe's guiding, loving presence. My power and strength flows from my connection to Source, my deepest essence; the focus of my work is to help others recognize that connection within themselves."

Sandi has collaborated with David Yarian, Ph.D. in producing guided meditation CDs. Sandi describes the process in creating The Alchemy of Peace & Love: “We’ve co-written the words to all the meditations, and the artistic decisions have been mutual. David wrote the song on Alchemy with our friend Roberta Schiller and did much of the copywriting and editing on the album covers and websites. I perform the spoken meditations and the songs. We have assembled a team of talented musicians, skilled studio engineers and a sensitive producer to bring our vision into reality.”

"It is with love and gratitude that Sandi and David offer these meditations to you. May you be blessed, strengthened and encouraged!"
